| overview : |
continuing the creative success of the 2000 qantas australian grand prix web site, 2001 gp is a dynamic, memorable, and highly interactive online experience. the goal was to create a strong online brand presence for the australian grand prix corporation that represented the true nature of the qantas australian grand prix - a carnival atmosphere combined with a globally reveered motor racing event. using flash and dhtml, we delivered a site mirroring the thrill and excitement of a formula one event! The inclusion of a multimedia gallery, virtual track, user poll, screensavers, and e-cards provides the end user with added entertainment and souvenir-value, whilst reiterating the client's branding strategy. using the latest in version 4 browser capabilities, we provided the end user with a highly interactive online experience. The inclusion of a self-managed admin facility allows the client to build a subscriber based "community", and distribute fortnightly newsletters via email. Built in ASP, this facility also ensures the site remains up to date with the latest formula one news. Using a highly customised version of sausage software's e-commerce engine, the f1 Store allows users to purchase event and team merchandise online. |
